Jon Snow is a Barbados sheep who looks like goat, was raised by a guanaco, and thinks he’s a dog.
Named after a character in the HBO television series “Game of Thrones” who was rejected by his mother, our Jon Snow, when he was a day old, was found in a field, alone.
Jon was brought to the Sonoma County Humane Society and its Forget Me Not Farm where he was raised by a “foster mom” guanaco (a relative of the llama and of the camelid family) and bottle fed by staff, volunteers and children of Forget Me Not. At four months old, Jon came to the White Barn.
Today, Jon Snow welcomes guests to the ranch when he’s not on adventures with his best friend, the ranch dog Bella. Overcoming the challenges of his early life, Jon Snow is a unique individual who relishes life with all living creatures. He has become a symbol at The White Barn Project of the ability in all of us to become our own “sheep”.
